At Widening Circles, we offer a ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) program as part of our comprehensive approach to wellness. We have found that this unique type of treatment is most effective when paired with other forms of therapy that complement and deepen the work.
KAP is a unique therapeutic method used to address a variety of mental health conditions, including treatment refractory depression and post-traumatic stress. It involves the use of the psychoactive substance ketamine to enhance and deepen the therapeutic process and utilizes psychotherapy and other integrative forms of treatment to amplify and prolong the curative effects of ketamine.
Widening Circles therapists and prescribers offering ketamine-assisted psychotherapy have engaged in specialized training to provide psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. Training has been with leaders in the field including Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies (MAPS); the Psychedelic Research and Training Institute (PRATI); Fluence and others.
Widening Circles KAP providers are also involved with the local non-profit, The Pearl Psychedelic Institute. The Pearl Psychedelic Institute is a nonprofit that aims to bring psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy into mainstream practice through research, treatment, and training while reducing the barriers to patient access.
